Tess Said So is the creative partnership of Australian musicians Rasa Daukus and Will Larsen. Adopting a pop sensibility to a classical format, Rasa and Will write and perform all their own material. More like a band than a traditional classical ensemble, they are influenced by a shared interest in new music and blurring the lines that define musical genre. ~~~~ Although most easily described as contemporary classical, their music is infused with pop, jazz, technology and electronica. Their sound explores the sonorities of piano and percussion, and employs a strong metric drive, beats, loops, clarity, motion and atmosphere. ~~~~ Reviews were unanimous in their praise for the band's 2014 debut studio album, 'I Did That Tomorrow', including: "This is the rare debut that arrives fully formed" - A CLOSER LISTEN | "A sonic delight... stunning" - CUTCOMMON | "A cinematic treat: warm, engaging & wildly expressive - 'I Did That Tomorrow' should be the beloved soundtrack to a highly regarded cult film" - HEADPHONAUGHT | "If Jack and Meg White ran away to join the symphony, their music might end up sounding like this" - BEAUTIFUL SONG OF THE WEEK ~~~~ Tess Said So's sophomore album is due for release early in 2016.
